Ukraine exported $121 million worth of honey in 2023
According to preliminary customs statistics, Ukraine’s honey exports in December amounted to 5.8 thousand tons, 8% less than in November, but 41% more than in December 2022. The average export price, after a significant decline during the year, has remained relatively stable in recent months – in December it amounted to $1.95 per 1 kg (in November – $2 per 1 kg, while in the first quarter of 2023 the average cost of Ukrainian honey for export was $2.65 per 1 kg).
In monetary terms, exports in December amounted to $11.3 million.
In total, in 2023, Ukraine exported 55 thousand tons of honey for $121 million. For comparison, in 2022 – 48 thousand tons for $ 137 million, in 2021 – 57.6 thousand tons for $ 143 million.
