Ukraine doubled its soybean oil exports, but reduced rapeseed oil exports by 3.6 times

According to the State Customs Service of Ukraine, in January-June 2025, Ukrainian sunflower oil exports amounted to 2.41 million tons, in monetary terms – $2.77 billion, the Committee on Agrarian and Land Policy reported.
The main importers of Ukrainian sunflower oil for the first six months of this year were Spain and Italy, which accounted for 12.88% and 12.18% of exports, respectively, as well as India – with a share of 11.77%.
At the same time, rapeseed oil exports decreased during this period compared to January-June 2024 by 3.6 times, to 19.99 million tons, respectively, the revenue was 2.9 times less and amounted to $58.015 million.
The main buyers of Ukrainian rapeseed oil were the Netherlands, which accounted for 39.29% of the exported volume, Germany – 21.44% and Slovakia – 13.13%.
At the same time, Ukraine this year increased its soybean oil exports by 52% in the first half of the year compared to 287.05 million tons a year ago and doubled its revenue – to $295.034 million.
Among the most active buyers of Ukrainian soybean oil were Poland – 63.97%, India – 9.02% and Germany – 4.04%.
