Ukraine, Albania discuss agricultural exports
The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
In the course of the online meeting, Krifca expressed support for the proposal to pay compensation for the transportation of grain towards Europe, which would be based on a progressive principle.
Such compensation would allow the countries situated farther away from the Ukrainian border to receive grain at adequate prices. At the same time, farmers in Ukraine’s neighboring countries would experience less pressure related to the pricing policy.
A reminder that Poland, Hungary, Slovakia and Bulgaria imposed a temporary ban on the import of grain and other agricultural products from Ukraine. The European Commission announced a financial aid package for the countries bordering with Ukraine, which they would be able to receive upon lifting restrictions on the import of Ukrainian agricultural products.
