UkrAgroConsult: Waiting for USDA estimates
The previous USDA report made it evident that their calculations are based on harvest data presented by the Economy Ministry of Ukraine. The latest information release says the corn harvest is 96% complete with 27.9 MMT produced. Therefore, we expect their December report to leave the corn crop estimate unchanged at 28.5 MMT. Estimates from trade sources are still scattered within a wide range, from 28 MMT to 32 MMT. The wheat and barley figures will not change either.
The December USDA report will most likely be neutral with regard to the forecast for Ukraine’s oilseed crop. Towards the end of harvest, the range of market forecasts looks more consolidated, UkrAgroConsult reports.
