UAE to build major grain complex at Khalifa port
On February 6, Al Ain Mills, part of Al-Hazaa Investment Group, began construction of a large grain storage and processing complex covering 50,000 square meters at Khalifa Port in the United Arab Emirates, the company’s press service reported.
The Capital Mills Grain project will have a storage capacity of around 300,000 tonnes. The facility is expected to be completed and commissioned by mid-2028.
According to the company, the project aims to expand local grain storage and processing capabilities, strengthen supply chain resilience, and support the UAE’s food security goals through modern and scalable infrastructure.
In February 2025, UAE logistics operator AD Ports Group signed a 50-year land lease agreement with Al Ain Mills to enable the project’s development.
