U.S. flour production continues to fall
Data from the U.S. Department of Agriculture shows that 226.5 million bushels of wheat were used for flour production in the first quarter of 2024, down 1% from January-March 2023.
Also in the first three months of this year, the country’s flour production fell 1% to 105.5 million quintals.
Experts note that low wheat-to-flour activity continued into 2023, when 904.5 million bushels of wheat were used for flour production, down 3% from 2022. Flour production also declined 3% to 419.9 million quintals.
