Turkish government reduced import duties on sunflower oil to 12% and on sunflower seeds to 22%

After the recent reduction in basic import prices for sunflower seeds and sunflower oil, which did not bring the desired effect, the Turkish government has made a new decision to reduce import duties.
In particular, the duty on imports of sunflower seeds was reduced from 27% to 12%, and on sunflower oil from 36% to 22%. At the same time, a quota for imports of these products was also established – for sunflower in the amount of 100 thousand tons, and for sunflower oil – 250 thousand tons.
The tariff quota is valid until April 15, 2024.
