Turkey’s major media outlets have published that the country’s agricultural sector has reached a record annual export volume of $36.2 billion in 2024, according to the Turkish Exporters Association (TIM).
Exports of agro-products grew by 3.3% compared to 2023 and accounted for 16% of Turkey’s total exports. Of the 10 agricultural sub-sectors, two reached record annual export volumes.
Exports of fruits and vegetables totaled $2.7 billion and exports of dried fruits and related products totaled $1.9 billion. Exports in these categories were up 1.2 percent and 0.8 percent, respectively, from the previous year.

Turkey plans to strengthen its position in strategic markets such as the European Union, the Middle East, North Africa and East Asia.
Mutlu also noted the growing demand for Turkish agricultural products in countries such as Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the UAE in the Middle East; Algeria, Morocco and Egypt in North Africa; and China and Japan in East Asia.
