Turkey reduced imports of sunflower seeds by 2.4 times in the first quarter of 2023/24 MY

Turkey, which experienced drought last year, started the current season by reducing imports of sunflower seeds.
In particular, according to the official statistics, Turkey reduced the purchases of the oilseed by 2.4 times – from 146.8 to 60.8 thsd tonnes in three months. Dynamics of sunflower seeds imports: September – 32.9 thsd tonnes; October – 14 thsd tonnes; November – 13.9 thsd tonnes.
