Turkey purchased 18 thsd tons of sunflower oil in an international tender
Turkey’s state grain board TMO has made a provisional purchase of about 18,000 metric tons of crude sunflower oil in an international tender held on Friday, according to European traders. The deal covers supplies from the trading house Aston (Russia), with deliveries scheduled between October 1 and October 31.
The purchase includes 6,000 tons priced at around $1,256 per ton on a cost-and-freight basis for delivery to the port of Tekirdag. In addition, 12,000 tons were secured at roughly $1,253.80 per ton c&f, designated for shipment to the ports of Iskenderun and Mersin.
As is standard in TMO tenders, the purchases remain provisional and subject to later confirmation. Volumes and prices may still be revised, or the contracts could be reduced or cancelled depending on further assessments and market developments.
