Traders estimate Iran’s recent purchase of Russian wheat at 500 thsd tons

Iran’s state-run GTC agency likely purchased about 500,000 tons of wheat at the end of last week. Most of it was Russian grain, Reuters reports.
The news agency is revising its estimate of the purchase volume for the second time, citing data from European traders. It also mentions unconfirmed rumors of 1 million tons.
The initial estimate was 120,000 tons, the second was about 250,000 tons.
Deliveries are scheduled for April. In some deals, the price could have been 310 euros per tonne C&F.
