The warm weather in Ukraine made it possible to speed up the corn harvest

As of the first week of January, grain and pulses crops were harvested on an area of 10.7 million hectares (93%) with a yield of 4.64 tons/ha, 49.5 million tons of grain were threshed, including:
- 4.979 million hectares of wheat were threshed (100%), 20.2 million tons were threshed (yield – 4.05 tons/ha);
- 1.7 million hectares of barley were threshed (100%), 5.8 million tons were threshed (yield – 3.47 tons/ha);
- 118 thousand hectares of peas were threshed (100%), 269 thousand tons were threshed (yield – 2.28 tons/ha);
- 3.4 million hectares (81%) of corn were threshed for grain, 22.1 million tons were threshed (yield – 6.48 tons/ha);
- 116,000 ha (98%) of buckwheat were threshed, 158,500 tons were threshed (yield – 1.37 tons/ha);
- millet was threshed on 44.7 thousand hectares (99%), 101.8 thousand tons were threshed (yield – 2.28 tons/ha).
In addition, sunflower harvesting was carried out on an area of 4.8 million hectares, (99%) 10.5 million tons of seeds were threshed with a yield of 2.17 tons/ha;
- soybeans were planted on an area of 1.5 million hectares, (100%) threshed 3.7 million tons with a yield of 2.43 tons/ha;
- rapeseed cultivation was carried out on an area of 1.1 million hectares, 3.2 million tons of seeds were threshed (100%) with a yield of 2.86 tons/ha;
- sugar beets were dug up on an area of 180,000 hectares, (99%) 9 million tons of sweet roots were dug up with a yield of 50.1 tons/ha.
Agricultural farms of Mykolaiv Region, Odesa Region, Bukovyna Region and Vinnytsia Region have finished harvesting this year’s harvest of all agricultural crops.
Agricultural producers of Vinnytsia threshed 4 million tons of grain.
The highest yield of grain and pulses crops among the farmers of Khmelnytskyi region is 7.09 tons/ha.
