Maximum volumes of grain exports from Ukraine in MY 2024/25 have been agreed
Acting Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Taras Vysotskyy and grain market participants have signed an annex to the Memorandum of Understanding for the 2024/2025 marketing year.
This is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
From the participants of the grain market the annex was signed by: American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine, Ukrainian Grain Association, European Business Association, GS All-Ukrainian Agrarian Forum, PA Association of Farmers and Private Landowners of Ukraine.
The annex to the Memorandum agreed the maximum export volume of wheat and wheat and rye mixture (meslin) according to the code UKT FEA 1001 in 2024/2025 marketing year at the level of 16.2 million tons.
According to Taras Vysotskyi, the purpose of signing the Memorandum and its annex is to ensure food security, predictable, anticipated, flexible and stable grain export regime and sustainable functioning of the grain market in Ukraine.
The parties agreed to further monthly monitoring of grain export volumes and, if necessary, to adjust the export limit in January 2025.
For reference. In July, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and grain market participants signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the 2024/2025 marketing year. The parties agreed to cooperate on coordination of balance characteristics of the grain market of Ukraine in 2024/2025 marketing year to ensure food security, stabilization of the grain market, projected grain exports and foreign exchange earnings.
Earlier, we wrote that the limit of Ukrainian wheat exports was proposed to be increased to 16.2m tons.
