The EU exported a record volume of sunflower oil since the beginning of 2022/23 MY

Over the last three months (April-June), 318 thsd tonnes of the product were shipped out of the above volume, the main consumers of which were Iraq (104 thsd tonnes), India (28 thsd tonnes), Morocco (31 thsd tonnes) and South Africa (26 thsd tonnes). Most of the sunflower oil was shipped from Bulgaria and Romania.
In addition, since the beginning of 2022/23 MY the EU has sharply increased the exports of rapeseed oil to 562 thsd tonnes (249 thsd tonnes in October-June of 2021/22 MY), 151 thsd tonnes of which were shipped to China, 177 thsd tonnes to Norway and 12 thsd tonnes to Pakistan.
However, during the reporting period, the exports of soybean oil from the bloc countries slightly decreased to 689 thsd tonnes compared to 746 thsd tonnes in October-June of 2021/22 MY. The shipments were mainly made to Morocco and other African countries, as well as to the UK.
