The Art Book “The Path of Grain” Wins Three Awards at Impact Awards Europe
The art book The Path of Grain has been named among the winners of the Impact Awards Europe, an award recognizing communication projects with a tangible social impact. The project received Silver in the B2B Marketing category, as well as Bronze in the Brand / Loyalty and Cause, Charity / Non-profit categories.
The Path of Grain is a limited-edition publication created at the initiative of Ukraine’s largest agricultural exporter, Kernel. The concept and design of the art book were developed by the communications agency Postmen.
The book was conceived as a tool for international communication and tells the story of recent history — from the blockade of seaports caused by Russian aggression, the signing of the Black Sea Grain Initiative, attacks on agricultural infrastructure, to the launch of Ukraine’s grain corridor.
“Due to strikes on logistics and production assets this winter, Ukraine’s export volumes have already declined compared to last year. Under these conditions, protecting ports remains a critically important issue — not only for Ukraine, but also for the stability of global supply chains,” said Yevhen Osypov, CEO of Kernel.
The book opens with an address by the President of Ukraine. The foreword was written by renowned Ukrainian historian Yaroslav Hrytsak, who describes the journey of Ukrainian grain through the centuries to the present day.
The Path of Grain has already received recognition at international and Ukrainian competitions, including ADC Europe, Epica Awards, Effie Awards Ukraine, Kyiv International Advertising Festival, ADC UA Awards, Ukrainian Design: The Very Best Of, and Ad Black Sea.
The book was first presented to the public at the presidential summit Grain from Ukraine 2024. Since then, The Path of Grain has been actively fulfilling its diplomatic mission: it was presented to the European Commissioner for Agriculture at an international agricultural exhibition in Berlin, as well as at events hosted by the Ukrainian House during the World Economic Forum in Davos 2025. Photographs from the art book are displayed in EU diplomatic missions in countries of the Global South and in Ukrainian embassies. Inspired by the book, a photo exhibition was held in Brussels at the European Parliament, attended by European officials and opinion leaders.
