Syria and Ukraine to develop strategic partnership

Syria and Ukraine will develop a strategic partnership at the political, economic and social levels.
This was stated by Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani.
“We will have a strategic partnership between us and Ukraine at the political, economic and social levels, and we also have a scientific partnership, which we will start again with Ukraine,” he said.
The minister emphasized that “the Syrian people and the Ukrainian people have the same experience and the same suffering that we have experienced for 14 years.”
“And, of course, today we welcome the official Ukrainian delegation,” Asaad Al-Shaibani added.
As reported, Sibiga met with the new leader of Syria in Damascus. He also noted that the first batch of Ukrainian flour will arrive in Syria on Tuesday as part of the Grain from Ukraine program. The shipment of 500 tons of flour is part of the Grain from Ukraine humanitarian initiative aimed at supporting food security.
“We promised to support food security and we fulfilled our promise in a short time. Tomorrow, more than two dozen trucks will arrive in Syria to deliver the first 500 tons of Ukrainian flour as part of the Grain from Ukraine humanitarian program. This flour will be distributed free of charge to Syrian families,” Sibiga said.
According to the minister, the humanitarian aid will provide food to more than 33,000 Syrian families or 167,000 people for one month.
“I emphasize once again: this is free humanitarian aid,” the minister said.
