Sugar cane production may resume in Brazil

According to the information source Globo Rural, the rains expected at the end of this year in the central-southern region of Brazil may restore sugar cane production and put pressure on world sugar prices in early 2025.
According to analysts from Safras & Mercado, the rains that came 30 days earlier (in October) in the central-southern region of Brazil and the wet off-season should help to restore sugar cane production in 2025. It is estimated that 608 million tons of cane will be processed in the new season 2025/26 MY, which will begin in April 2025, compared to 592 million tons in the current season 2024/25 MY. As a result, world raw sugar prices may decline to about 19.50 cents/lb in the first quarter of 2025.
Further development of the grain sector in the Black Sea and Danube region will be discussed at the 23 International Conference BLACK SEA GRAIN.KYIV on April 24 in Kyiv.
