Soybean harvesting has begun in the US

Last week in the United States began harvesting of the new soybean crop, reports Zerno On-line with reference to the National Agricultural Statistics Service under the U.S. Department of Agriculture (NASS).
By September 15, 6% of the planted area had been harvested, which is more than the same date last year (4%) and the average for the past five years (3%).
According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture forecasts, gross soybean harvest this season will reach a record 124.8 million tons and will exceed last season’s figure by 10.1%. Export potential of soybeans is estimated at 50.3 million tons. Last season, the U.S. exported 46.3 million tons.
By September 15, corn harvested from 9% (8% and 6%) of areas, spring wheat – from 92% (91% and 90%). Drought conditions in most parts of the Midwest helped accelerate corn maturation.
Winter wheat for harvest-2025 was sown on 14% (13% and 13%) of the planned area.
