South Korea purchased over 130 thsd tons of corn at a tender $4-5/ton cheaper than in January
According to market operators, the leading South Korean animal feed manufacturer FLC purchased about 132 thousand tons of feed corn of any origin at an international tender on February 20.
The following lots were contracted at the auction:
- 65 thousand tons from the operator Pan Ocean with delivery by June 5, 2026 at a price of $245.97/ton C&F (+$1.25/ton for additional unloading at the port),
- 67 thousand tons from the Mitsui trading house with delivery by June 25, 2026 at a price of $244.99/ton C&F (+$1.5/ton for additional unloading at the port).
Recall that in January tenders, South Korean processors bought corn at $249-250/t C&F.
