Since the beginning of the war, Ukraine has exported more than 1 million tons of sunflower oil. This result is almost double the indicator in the same period of the previous season and is the minimum for the last 13 seasons.
According to Stark Shipping, 505,000 tons of oil were transported by water on the Danube from February 24 to September 1. From the port of Reni, exports amounted to 301,000 tons, from Izmail – 204,000 tons.
By sea – from the ports of Pivdenny, Chornomorsk and Odesa – 96.3 thousand tons of oil were exported.
We will remind, for the first time from March to August 14, the Efe tanker was moored in Odesa port to load Ukrainian sunflower oil. Efe became the first vessel to ship sunflower oil through the “grain corridor”. The loading and dispatch of the ship was controlled by the freight and agency company Stark Shipping. The ship took on board 7.25 thousand tons of sunflower oil of Ukrainian production from the Prista Oil terminal.
The largest oil importers were:
- Turkey (304 thousand tons),
- India (102 thousand tons),
- Italy (90 thousand tons),
