Saudi Arabia purchased 920 thsd tons of wheat

Saudi Arabia’s General Food Security Authority (GFSA) purchased 920,000 tons of milling wheat with a protein content of 12.5% at an average price of $276.37 C&F. The volume of purchase exceeds the planned 595 thousand tons. This is reported by Reuters.

According to traders, the bulk of the purchased volume will be supplied from the Black Sea region, including 300,000 tons from Romania, at least two shipments from Russia and some from Bulgaria. At least two shipments will be supplied from Australia.

“There could be quite a few countries of origin involved in the purchase,” a European trader said.

Delivery will take place between May and July 2025 to the following ports:
