Shipments to Kenya increased more than five times, 4.8 times – to the UAE. 77 thousand tons were shipped to these countries,” she said.
According to her, the main buyers of barley are Saudi Arabia and Iran. Shipments to Saudi Arabia increased 6.4 times to almost 140,000 tons, to Iran – 2.2 times to 92,500 tons. “Quite voluminous supplies are going to Kuwait, Morocco, Algeria. More than 30 thousand tons have been delivered to each of these countries,” the expert said.
Iran is also the main buyer of Russian corn. The volume of its supplies corresponds to last year’s – 148 thousand tons. “Shipments to Turkey have slightly decreased, but still remain significant – 113 thousand tons,” she said.
