Russia is going to inspect ships traveling to Ukrainian ports
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Vershinin has explained the position of the Russian Defense Ministry that all ships sailing to Ukrainian ports will be considered military targets. This was reported by the Russian newspaper Kommersant.
According to Vershinin, this means that Russia will demand an inspection of a particular vessel if there are suspicions that it is carrying “something bad.”
“It means that we have to make sure of this, we have to make sure that the ship is carrying something bad. This means a request, an inspection if necessary, to make sure it is true or not,” the Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman said.
Vershinin said that instead of a humanitarian corridor, the Black Sea now has zones of increased military danger.
