Russia is doing everything to preserve the risk of stopping the grain corridor
Russia will continue to take all possible measures to make the grain corridor work more slowly, to keep the risk of its shutdown high, and to reduce confidence in it to a minimum.
This opinion was expressed by Oleg Nivievsky, Vice President for Economic Education, Associate Professor at the Kyiv School of Economics, during the discussion “Ban on Imports of Ukrainian Grain: Consequences and Ways to Resolve the Crisis”.
“We need to look from the perspective of who benefits from the grain corridor. I think it is absolutely unprofitable for Russia to have it functioning, and they will do everything possible to put a spoke in the wheel,” said Oleg Nivievsky.
In his opinion, in the near future the grain corridor will function as it did before – there will be accusations, and Russia will take all possible measures to make it work more slowly.
“Until the war is over, until Russia is our enemy and a big threat, it will continue to function as it is now.”
