Russia attacked the terminal of the Chinese corporation in Mykolaiv: 17 thousand tons of sunflower oil flew into the air
The Russian Federation launched a missile attack on a terminal leased by a Chinese corporation in Mykolaiv seaport, as a result of which 17,000 tons of sunflower oil were destroyed. The spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Oleg Nikolenko reported this on Facebook.
“17,000 tons of sunflower oil worth $26 million were destroyed. Another terminal owned by China is under threat of shelling,” said Nikolenko.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine called on the Chinese side to demand from Moscow an immediate end to attacks on Ukrainian critical infrastructure.
“The shelling of the Chinese terminal in the port of Mykolaiv once again confirms the importance of intensifying efforts by Beijing to end Russia’s war against Ukraine. We call on the Chinese side to demand from Moscow an immediate end to attacks on Ukrainian critical infrastructure in order to protect, in particular, the property of Chinese enterprises,” Nikolenko urged.
We will remind: on the night of October 16-17, the Russian occupiers hit the oil containers of one of Ukraine’s leading exporters of sunflower oil with drones. 17% of the world export of these products passed through the terminal in Mykolaiv. After the impact, oil tanks burst into flames.
