Russia agrees with Taliban on Coca-Cola purchases

Russia has established supplies from Taliban-controlled Afghanistan of carbonated drinks and energy drinks, including Coca-Cola, which left Russia after the full-scale war against Ukraine. Additionally, Afghanistan will supply Russia with spices, precious stones, and raw materials for metallurgy.
This was announced by Russian Ambassador to Afghanistan Dmitry Zhirnov, as reported by The Moscow Times.
“Russia is buying Afghan spices, carbonated and energy drinks, medicinal herbs – lavender, thyme, licorice. And, of course, cauldrons for pilaf,” said Zhirnov.
According to him, the first items of Afghan exports to Russia are dried fruits and raisins. Russia is also purchasing vegetables and grapes, but so far in small quantities. Additionally, supplies of pomegranates from the southern regions of Afghanistan and Afghan saffron have begun.
