Romanian farmers blocked truck traffic on the border with Ukraine (updated)

The movement of trucks through the Romanian checkpoint “Siret”, which is opposite the Ukrainian checkpoint “Porubne”, is blocked. This was reported by the State Border Guard Service.
Border guards added that farmers in Romania are blocking the movement of trucks through the Siret checkpoint. The reasons and approximate duration of the blockade are unknown.
Traffic may be hampered in both directions, but as of 17.15, no significant queue of trucks in the direction of Ukraine has been recorded. There are 825 vehicles registered in the E-queue to leave Ukraine.
Passenger cars, passenger buses and pedestrians are allowed to cross as usual.
Update, 22:25. Romanian farmers have stopped blocking the movement of trucks through the Porubne-Siret checkpoint, the Border Guard Service reports. It is not reported what exactly influenced this decision. Currently, trucks, cars, passenger buses and pedestrians are allowed to pass through the checkpoint in accordance with the established procedure.
