Record oilseed harvest is expected in Kazakhstan

On September 23, the Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan announced the oilseed harvest forecast at a government meeting.
According to Aidarbek Saparov, farmers will harvest 4 million tons of oilseeds this year, including 2 million tons of sunflower seeds.
This volume will fully saturate the market with oilseed products, he noted.
“The total harvest area in Kazakhstan in 2025 is 23.6 million hectares, of which more than 16 million hectares are grains and legumes. Approximately 700,000 tons of oilseeds have been harvested to date. Overall, a record oilseed harvest of approximately 4 million tons is expected this year,” the minister stated.
It is worth noting that Kazakhstan harvested 3.3 million tons of oilseeds in 2024.
