Poland and Hungary ignored the meeting on Ukrainian grain exports

Yesterday, Kyiv’s plan to license and inspect four types of Ukrainian agricultural products was discussed. This was announced at a briefing by the European Commission spokesperson Olof Gill.
The spokesperson noted that the meeting discussed Kyiv’s plan to export and transit agricultural products, as well as licensing.
“Yesterday’s meeting was focused on discussing the Ukrainian action plan and measures to control certain products and prevent market destruction in the five EU member states,” he said.
During the meeting, proposals for the action plan were presented, and it is hoped that it will be implemented as soon as possible.
The European Commission spokesman emphasized that Poland and Hungary did not participate in the meeting of the coordination platform. However, their participation in the meeting was not mandatory, so such actions cannot be called a boycott.
“Representatives of Poland and Hungary did not attend the meeting. However, it is important to emphasize that participation is not mandatory, as the meetings are held quite often,” said Hill.
Currently, the European Commission continues to cooperate with all stakeholders outside and within the platform. As a reminder, Ukraine has introduced licensing for grain exports to five Eastern European countries. And the Minister of Agriculture of Poland assured that the grain negotiations with Ukraine are going in a good direction.
