UkrAgroConsult expects the planted area of peas to expand next year.
The expansion of pea plantings will be promoted by growth in export and domestic prices along with relatively stable export demand. Domestic prices for other pulses rose in price as well.
Farmers’ interest in growing this crop and other pulses may increase because of rising nitrogen fertilizer prices in Ukraine and worldwide.
Access to the Chinese market may become another incentive to push the development of Ukraine’s pulses industry.
