Paraguay shows impressive growth in poultry exports
Paraguay continues to show impressive growth in poultry exports. According to the latest data from the National Service of Animal Health and Quality (Senacsa), Paraguay exported 1,225 tons of poultry meat in the first three months of this year, up 63.9% from the same period last year. This significant increase in exports brought the country revenue of USD 1.9 million, which is an increase of 145% compared to the same period last year.
According to the report, Paraguay actively exported its products to various countries around the world. The main destinations were Iraq, Albania, Kosovo, the Bahamas, Ghana, and Cuba, which together accounted for a significant portion of exports. It is interesting to note that Iraq purchased 26% of all exports, which indicates a high demand for poultry meat in this country. Albania and Kosovo are also important markets for Paraguay, purchasing 20% and 10% respectively.
This growth in poultry exports is a testament to the development of poultry production in Paraguay and its competitiveness on the global market. The quality and reliability of poultry products from Paraguay are becoming increasingly well known and in demand. In addition, the increase in poultry exports is having a positive impact on the country’s economy, creating new opportunities for development and growth.
Paraguay continues to strive to strengthen its position in the international poultry market, and these positive results in the first quarter of 2024 are proof of the success of their efforts. The future of the poultry industry in Paraguay looks promising, and the country can expect further export growth and increased revenues from this promising industry.
