Oilseed reserves in Kazakhstan amount to almost 2 million tons
In Kazakhstan, as of the beginning of this month, oilseed stocks amounted to more than 1.9 mln tons, according to the Bureau of National Statistics of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
As of January 1, there were 1.073 mln tons of sunflower, safflower stocks are estimated at 107.088 thsd tonnes, rapeseed – 162.87 thsd tonnes, flax – 471.9 thsd tonnes, soybeans – 64.3 thsd tonnes.
It is noted that as of the reporting date, legal entities engaged in the cultivation of oilseeds had 35.155 thsd tonnes of raw materials, oil and fat producers – 248.94 thsd tonnes, wholesalers – 41.63 thsd tonnes of raw materials, individual entrepreneurs and farms – 396.9 thsd tonnes, and other legal entities – 1.177 mln tonnes.
The National Association of Oilseed Processors (NAOP) has previously warned that due to dry weather conditions and lack of precipitation during the growing season, the oilseed mills will be forced to operate in conditions of raw material shortage.
