Odesa port to cooperate with Europe’s largest port as memorandum signed
The Odesa branch of the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority has signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with Europe’s largest port — the Port of Rotterdam — during the Dutch-Ukrainian intergovernmental conference held on March 30 in Breda. The announcement was made by the administration of the Odesa Sea Port.
The document was signed by Head of the Odesa branch Dmytro Nazarenko, Port Captain Rene de Vries, and Legal Affairs Manager Joep Vermeulen.
The memorandum предусматривает exchange of experience and the implementation of joint projects.
“This memorandum marks a real step toward developing Odesa Port in line with the best European standards. The experience of the Port of Rotterdam — one of the world’s leading ports — is extremely valuable for us. We expect this cooperation to help implement modern technologies and improve operational efficiency even under today’s challenging conditions,” said Dmytro Nazarenko.
The parties plan to cooperate on implementing digital solutions, using artificial intelligence in logistics, and improving port management efficiency. Special focus will be placed on restoring Odesa’s port infrastructure and supporting Ukraine’s maritime sector.
