No threats to the 2025 spring sowing campaign in Ukraine

Ukrainian agricultural producers are provided with inputs for the spring 2025 sowing campaign. This was stated on TV by Vitalii Koval, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food.
“The market is consistently supplied with the inputs needed for the sowing campaign. There is diesel fuel and mineral fertilizers. Of course, we import most of it, because Ukraine cannot provide itself with inputs during the war. But at the same time, we see that the number of suppliers and producers is increasing and diversifying every year. Therefore, we do not see any threats to the sowing campaign,” he said.
The Minister noted that Ukrainian farmers will increase the area under corn this year, as it is highly profitable. Wheat plantings will also be increased. According to him, farmers will plant industrial crops on an area of 7.73 million hectares this year, as soybeans, rapeseed and sunflower also have high profitability.
Further development of the grain sector in the Black Sea and Danube region will be discussed at the 23 International Conference BLACK SEA GRAIN.KYIV on April 24 in Kyiv.
