Negotiations on the extension of the Black Sea grain corridor will begin in a week. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Yuriy Vaskov.
“Negotiations on the expansion of the grain corridor will begin in a week, and then we will understand the positions of all parties. I think common sense will prevail and the corridor will be extended,” he said.
Earlier, Russia said that the extension of the “grain deal” would be “inappropriate” unless sanctions that allegedly affect the export of its agricultural products are lifted and other issues are resolved.
It was also reported that due to Russia’s artificial blocking of the grain corridor, Ukraine’s agricultural exports have decreased.
