Negotiations on the functioning of the “Black Sea grain corridor” will continue online
Negotiations in Istanbul on the functioning of the Grain Initiative have been completed. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine.
The UN and Turkey, as signatories to the initiative, understand that the Grain Initiative is critical to global food security and must function stably. Therefore, at their suggestion, further consultations on unblocking the Initiative will be continued online.
“The Ukrainian delegation once again emphasized that the Grain Initiative should be extended for a longer period and expanded. This will give predictability and confidence to both the global and Ukrainian markets. But, first of all, it is necessary to resume the registration of the incoming fleet and inspections without artificial delays and in accordance with the procedures of the Joint Coordination Center (JCC),” said Vice Prime Minister for Reconstruction of Ukraine – Minister of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development.
