Mongolia fully self-sufficient for wheat and potato

Mongolia will fully secure its domestic demand for wheat and potatoes, the country’s food and agriculture minister said on Tuesday.
Minister Zagdjav Mendsaikhan said the Asian country is expected to harvest 487,600 tons of wheat and 237,000 tons of potato this autumn, according to the government’s press office.
Mongolia is the most sparsely populated country in the world, and a significant portion of the country’s 3.2 million people raise livestock to make a living.
