Moldova will continue to license imports of grains and oilseeds

Moldova will extend the licensing regime for imports of grains and oilseeds. This is stated in the official report of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry of the country.
“By December 31, 2024, a project will be approved to ensure the continuity and stability of the domestic agricultural market in the context of current challenges,” the ministry said.
The ministry also added that it regrets “the spread of false hypotheses in the public space.”
“The Ministry remains the official information platform and we urge farmers to follow the publications on official platforms,” the statement said.
As a reminder, the Moldovan association “Farmers’ Power” threatened to close all checkpoints on the border with Ukraine because the authorities have not yet extended the grain import restriction, which expires on December 31.
