Moldova lifts ban on wheat and flour exports

The Emergency Situations Commission of the Government of Moldova lifted the ban on the export of wheat and wheat flour from the country. At the same time, the ban on sugar exports remained in force.
This was reported by the website of the Moldovan government.
The press service of the Moldovan government notes that this year’s wheat harvest will be 900 thousand tons, which is 30% less than last year, but the country needs only 600 thousand tons, in addition, 175 thousand tons of wheat are stored in elevators. The ban on the export of wheat and sugar came into force on March 1, the ban on the export of flour is effective from March 12.
