Malaysia keeps export duty on crude palm oil at 10% in March

Malaysia has maintained the March export duty on crude palm oil at 10% and lowered the base price to RM 4390.37 or $1009.7 per tonne for March, according to a resolution of the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MP).
The base price in February was RM 4817.70 or $1108.07 per ton.
The structure of the export duty starts at 3% for crude palm oil ranging from RM2250 to RM2400 per ton. The maximum tax rate is set at 10% when prices exceed RM4050 per ton.
According to MPOB data, Malaysia’s palm oil exports in January 2025 decreased by 12.94% to 1.17 million tons.
