Lebanon confirms purchase of 30 thsd tonnes of Ukrainian wheat in December
The Ministry of Economy and Trade of Lebanon confirmed the purchase of 30 thsd tonnes of Ukrainian milling wheat, which was announced in December 2023, according to European traders.
The wheat with the protein content of 11.5% was contracted at the price of $253.5 per ton on CIF Beirut basis. The financing was provided by the World Bank.
The next tender for the purchase of 60 thousand tons of milling wheat for immediate delivery will be held on January 16.
