Kernel expands partnership with Spanish vegetable oil producer

Kernel is working to expand its partnership with one of Spain’s key vegetable oil market players — Aceites Abril.

The company reported this update on its Facebook page.

Kernel already collaborates with the Spanish producer, but both parties aim to increase vegetable oil shipments to European Union countries and adapt logistics solutions, which have changed significantly since 2022. The companies discussed product assortment, potential supply volumes, and practical measures to ensure export stability and predictability.

“For us, it is important to build predictable long-term cooperation models,” said Andriy Paladiy, Kernel’s Director of Oils and Proteins Trading.

For reference: Kernel is a producer and exporter of sunflower oil and a leading supplier of agricultural products from the Black Sea region to global markets. Its vertically integrated structure combines closely linked business segments: sunflower oil production, domestic and export sales; high-tech crop farming; grain export; and storage and handling services at elevators and port terminals.

Aceites Abril is a family-owned company with over 60 years of history, supplying refined sunflower and olive oils to leading retail chains in Spain, Portugal, and France, as well as serving the food and canning industries.
