Kazakhstan: New harvest grain exports reach 4 mln tons

According to KTJ, the volume of new harvest grain exports from September to December 2024 totaled 4 million tons, which is 57% more than in the same period of 2023. Exports to Uzbekistan increased by 45%, Tajikistan by 57%, Afghanistan by 51%, Kyrgyzstan by 19%, and China by 10%.
Shipments to Iran and Azerbaijan saw significant growth: exports to Iran surged 30 times, from 15,000 tons to 455,000 tons, while exports to Azerbaijan reached 188,000 tons. Since the beginning of 2025, 558,000 tons of grain have been exported, 8% more than in the same period of 2024. Exports to Iran rose by 18.2%, while shipments to Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan increased by 4%, and deliveries to Kyrgyzstan grew 4.2 times.
By the end of 2024, Kazakhstan had exported 8.1 million tons of grain. Exports to Uzbekistan amounted to 3.3 million tons, Tajikistan 1.2 million tons, Kyrgyzstan 140,000 tons, China 1.7 million tons, Afghanistan 289,000 tons, Iran 526,000 tons, and Azerbaijan 211,000 tons, according to official reports.
