Kazakhstan became one of the top five buyers of Russian wheat
2.95 MMT of Russian wheat was exported in December (-7% from November and -39% from December 2020/21). Exports since the beginning of the season had totaled 21.2 MMT (-18% y-o-y), UkrAgroConsult reports.
Iran remains the biggest importer of Russian wheat (shipments to the country were up 11 times y-o-y), but its share in Russian wheat exports fell to 22% in December.
Exports to the following importers also increased from the same time last year: Saudi Arabia (five), Kazakhstan (doubled), the EU (+8%).
July-December witnessed a decline in deliveries to the following key markets: Turkey, Egypt, Azerbaijan, Nigeria, Sudan.
