Jordan purchased 60 thsd tons of wheat and issues new tender
Jordan has purchased about 60,000 tons of milling wheat in an international tender that closed on March 31. According to traders, the winning offer came from Cargill at $275.95 per ton on a CIF basis, with shipment scheduled for the second half of July.
Other major trading houses, including CHS Inc., Bunge, Ameropa, COFCO and Buildcom, also participated in the tender but submitted higher price offers. The wheat can be sourced from optional origins.
At the same time, Jordan has issued a new tender to purchase an additional 120,000 tons of wheat. The deadline for submitting offers is April 7, with shipments expected in 60,000-ton consignments across June and July.
