Jordan cancels barley tender and issues a new one
Jordan has canceled a tender to purchase 120,000 tonnes of barley that was scheduled for Wednesday, February 4, traders said on condition of anonymity. The reasons for the cancellation were not disclosed, though market participants typically link such decisions to the level of price offers received or changes in market conditions. A previous barley tender had also been canceled.
At the same time, the country has issued a new tender for barley supplies. The deadline for submitting offers is set for February 11, with shipments required in the second half of March, throughout April, and in the first half of May.
