Indian agriculture has grown by 40% in 10 years

India’s agricultural production has grown by 40 percent in the last 10 years, Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said on June 9, Economic Times reported.
“We have increased agricultural production by 40 percent in the last 10 years,” the minister said. He stressed that India has no shortage of food grains and exports them to other countries.
He said that thanks to the policies of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the agricultural growth rate in the fourth quarter reached 5.4 percent.
The minister noted that the warehouses are full of grains and there is nothing to worry about even in the event of a protracted conflict with Pakistan.
Chouhan stressed the importance of ensuring food security in the country and increasing farmers’ incomes.
