India continues to significantly reduce purchases of sunflower oil
According to the Solvent Extension Association of India (SEA), in November, India increased imports of palm oil by 23% compared to October to a 3-month high of 869.5 thousand tons, Hellenic Shipping News reports.
In addition, imports of soybean oil in November also increased by 10.8% to 149.9 thousand tons, while imports of sunflower oil decreased by 16.3% to 128.7 thousand tons, which was the lowest in the last 17 months.
According to the SEA estimates, the domestic stocks of vegetable oils in India as of December 1 of the current year amounted to 2.96 mln tonnes, while as of November 1 they reached 3.14 mln tonnes.
