In 2023/2024 MY in the Czech Republic grain harvest will decrease by 8%

The Czech Republic expects to reduce grain production. In 2023/2024 MY the country will harvest 7 mln tonnes of grain crops. This is 0.6 mln tonnes less than in 2022/2023 MY.
Czech agrarians will harvest 8% less than last year. The country’s Statistics Office expects the wheat harvest to decrease by 400 thsd tonnes to 4.8 mln tonnes, and barley – by 200 thsd tonnes to 1.7 mln tonnes.
The gross harvest of other types of grain will also decline. Triticale harvest will decrease by 5.1 thousand tons to 202.5 thousand tons, oat harvest by 20.9 thousand tons to 167.9 thousand tons, and rye harvest by 9.7 thousand tons to 118.5 thousand tons.
