Harvesting has started in Ukraine
Farmers in Odesa and Mykolaiv regions have started harvesting winter barley. Harvesting has already been carried out on an area of 4.8 thou hectares with a yield of 26.5 c/ha. So far, the company has harvested 12.6 thou tons of the new crop.
The leaders in threshing are agricultural producers in Odesa region with 4 thou hectares. At the same time, Mykolaiv region farmers are ahead in terms of yields – 32.0 c/ha.
The sowing of spring crops in Ukraine has been completed. A total of 12.75 million hectares of grains, pulses and oilseeds, as well as 213 thousand hectares of sugar beet were planted. In particular, 5 million 672 thousand hectares of grains and legumes were sown, including
- spring wheat – 280 thou hectares;
- spring barley – 821.9 thou hectares;
- peas – 139.3 thou hectares;
- oats – 150.1 thousand hectares;
- corn – 4 043.5 thousand hectares;
- buckwheat – 120.7 thou hectares;
- millet – 51.1 thou hectares.
Sunflower was sown on the area of 5 307.5 thou hectares, soybeans – 1 779.8 thou hectares.
